With 5-Star reviews on Trip Advisor and a 2020 recipient of the Travelers' Choice Award, this casual Juno gem is not to be missed! In Italy, an "Osteria" is an informal restaurant that focuses on fresh, locally sourced foods and...wine. With the warm, terra cotta colored walls covered with black & white photos of movie stars and Cinzano posters, Nick & Johnny's feels more like a restaurant you'd find up north, than in Florida. That's because owner Nick Chiantese (who formerly owned Nick's Tomatoe Pie) is a New Jersey native who's passionate about great food and a great value in a comfortable, friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
With the kitchen under the direction of Chef Angelos, you'll start with a complimentary loaf of freshly baked bread served with olive oil and roasted garlic for dipping. But don't fill up too much because the portions are generous and you'll want to save room for their outrageous homemade Banana Cream Pie! Chicken Scarpariello on the bone with sausage. House made Potato Gnocchi. Rigatoni Bolognese with peas in a plum tomato sauce. The house special Grilled Pork Chop is a best seller and the Veal Russilino with prosciutto, mushrooms, and mozzarella over spinach with a Marsala sauce is a masterpiece! They serve exceptional, thin crust NJ/NY Style pizza in the lounge, and their version of Crab Cakes (Italian style with capers, artichokes and lemon) might be the best you've ever tasted! Entrees are served with soup or salad and a side of pasta or vegetable, making Nick & Johnny's an extremely good value.
The lounge area offers a fully stocked bar along with many tables & booths for dining and live entertainment. The spacious dining room is perfect if you'd like a little more intimacy, and there are a few outdoor dining tables as well. Their special Sunday Doo Wop & Oldies Dinner Shows in the main dining room are sell outs every time! (KDS Member discount not valid for Special Sunday Dinner Show)
